Here Matt Hayes shows you how to use the most popular carp bait of all BOILIES.
He prefers frozen boilies or freezer bait as he refers to them as they have no preservatives in them at all.Only problem being they have to be kept cool on your fishing trip.Well he is using a specifically designed cooler bag for all the anglers out there. Xcool luggage is very insulated and they come with there own freezer
blocks which should keep everything cool for 2 to 3 days in hot weather and up to 5 days in cooler conditions. The boilies he is using are called the source by dynamite baits full of fishmeal not over powering in terms of smell and taste .It is instantly acceptable by carp everywhere. Top quality bait that is highly digestible carp can eat this and process it quickly meaning they can eat loads of this source so if you can get them feeding on this you will catch loads of carp.
The way he gets the boilies out there is a catapult but you could use a spod or throwing stick using a marker float as his target he catapults about 60 of the source carp boilies around it.He fishes one rod on the blanket of boilies and another rod just to the side of the baited swim. With a third rod over some particles a good way off the boilies.
People can struggle using a catapult just remember to keep your right arm rigid holding the catapult grip the pouch with your left hand and stretch it back.Turn the catapult through 90 degrees and let your left arm do all the work
