The rotary or helicopter rig is attatched to the line just like the safety clip rig. But it works completely differently you have your heat welded loop and you attatch it by passing the loop in your main line through this and the end of the leader through the loop in the main line and pulling it tight. The bottom end of the rotary rig is where the difference comes in the hooklength is tied to a ring swivel and at the end of the leader is a clip which is where you pop the lead onto the clip .Then you just pull the section of silicon down to sleeve off the clip and the swivel to stop your rig tangling. Then slide down bottom bead to the top of the rubber .Most of the time you will have a small gap.
This is called a helicopter rig because as you cast out the hooklink will revolve around the leader as it is flying just like a helicopter blade. If you are fishing on weed or silt this works really well because your lead goes into it and if you use a buoyant hookbait the hooklink will slide up and prevent your hookbait being hidden.
This is very carp safe tangle free and an effective method of catching carp. There are a few different types of leader they are clear hover ,fast sink and super fast sink. It also pins the line down to the lake bed stopping any fish swimming into your fishing line or braid.
